Stage 3 at Penrith Public School
Thoughts about Circle Time by S3W and Mr Ward, 2004:
- Lots of fun for everyone
- We have to concentrate
- Play games
- Talk with a flower
- We form a circle
- There are rules
- We have to listen carefully and fairly
- It's a great way to make friends
- It's exciting
- Some things we do are difficult but we work at them as a circle
- Everyone gets a chance to speak
- You can pass... and we'll come back to you
- We cooperate
- We work on problems in groups then report back top the circle
- It's good
- We have a pattern for each Circle Time
- Most of the time we're inside
- Some of our activities help build respect in the circle
- We have fun and learn
- It's when we discuss bad things
- It's time to calm people down and settle the problem
- We give everyone a fair go
- We enjoy listening to everyone's comments
- You find out more about everyone
- You can meet and talk to people
- It's enjoyable
- You get to know people better
- We get to go to our own quiet, private place.
