We are S1M English class at Penrith Public School. We are all in Stage 1 (Year 2). There are 26 students in our class and about 330 students at our school. Our teacher is Mr McLean and our teacher-librarian is Mrs Ryan.
Penrith is located on the western edge of Sydney. It is not far from the Blue Mountains. We don't have much of a playground at the moment because we are having a new assembly hall built and our balls keep going over into the building site.
We read the 21st anniversary edition of Possum magic on the first day of Term 2. A few of us had read the book in other classes. Ten of us have book rapped before.
Here is our story for Rap Point Two, a new adventure for Hush and Grandma Poss:
|
So later that day, Grandma Poss and Hush left the bush where they'd always been to find what it was that would make Hush seen... Soon they were heading towards the foot of the Blue Mountains. In the city of Penrith, Grandma Poss rode her bicycle over Lemongrove Bridge onto High Street and up into the parking station above Penrith Plaza. She locked her bike onto the bike rack. People in Penrith love to party! The possums saw a huge buffet set up in the Food Court of the Plaza. Grandma Poss dragged a plate along the buffet table and invisible Hush filled the plate with party food: pepperoni and pineapple pizza; pear and peach Paddle Pops; plum porridge; pomegranate punch; potato party pies; and peanut butter and parsley pasta. A few people noticed food flying through the air and onto the plate. One person even fainted. Hush began to eat. Suddenly, Hush's pink nose and the pointers and pinkies of her possum paws began to turn visible. Grandma Poss quickly threw a large pudding basin over Hush to hide her. They raced off to the Nepean River and made their escape in the basin. |
