Penrith Public School
Student Representative Council (SRC)

SRC stands for School Representative Council. Students from all Stages are chosen to represent their class on the SRC.

We have our meetings at first half lunch on some Tuesdays, with all reps and Mrs Craig. We often use Circle Time activities and thinking skills, such as Six Thinking Hats and Brainstorming, to debate issues and come up with ideas. In SRC we talk about what we can do to help our school, and how to make it a more enjoyable place. We ask the representatives in our school to think up solutions to help our school community. We have had many suggestions already this year and all of these have been successful.

The SRC helps with fundraisers like Stewart House, Red Nose Day, Jeans for Genes Day and CanTeen Bandana Day.
